Turmeric Tea

Also known as “Golden Milk”, this little cup goodness is so delicious, it’s hard to believe it’s equally good for you. Chock full of antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, turmeric tea is good for digestion, immune function, and helps you get a good night’s sleep. If this all sounds too good to be true, think again: we in the west are just catching up to this miracle drink, which has been a go-to drink in South Asia since ancient times.

How to Make Your Own 5 Minute Blend

Ingredients

    •    2 cups milk of choice (almond, pecan, coconut, or dairy)
    •    1 tsp ground turmeric
    •    1/2 tsp cinnamon
    •    pinch of black pepper (increases absorption)
    •    1/4 tsp ginger powder
    •    pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)
    •    1 tsp raw honey (optional)


Instructions

Whisk together all ingredients except honey in a small pot and heat on medium high heat. Continue stirring until it is hot but not boiling. Pour, sweeten as desired, and enjoy!
